Dongyang Woodcarvings

Dongyang, China is the woodcarving capital of the country. Artisans from Dongyang were the ones who created all of the intricate woodcarvings in the Forbidden City in Beijing. There is a brand new museum that talks about the history of woodcarving and the production process. Many of the works there leave one breathless.
