The Forbidden City

The Forbidden City, or more officially, the Imperial Palace, is the site where the Emperors of China ruled. The palace was built in the early 1400's and was used until the last emperor of China was overthrown in 1912. Nowadays it is simply a tourist attraction, however the palace is absolutely worth visiting.
